dialoghi…pezzi…con ombre (dialogs…pieces…with shadows) was composed for violin, cello and piano four hands in 2010 for the Classicus Ensembe, and was premiered in New York. The 5 movements of the piece show different chamber-music combinations of the four players. In the central 4th movement the dialog of the violin and the cello is sorrounded by shadow-like piano-sounds. In the 2nd and 5th movements two independent duos (violin-1st pianist, cello-2nd pianist) take place at the same time. The rhythmic, homogenic material of the 1st and 3rd movements is based on a canonic construction from the motifs of the 4th. The pitch-system of the piece was inspired by the architectural design of the asymmetric water tower of Budafok.
